Flawless Non-Toxic Beauty Find
In my continuous search for all natural products, I stumbled upon a glamorous foundation. Despite its somewhat hefty price tag, Kjaer Weis definitely delivers. Aside from its beautiful silk-to-matte like finish, it was the ingredients found in this product that really captured my attention. This foundation is certified organic, and a minimum of 95% of the ingredients come from organic farming.
Some of it’s ingredients include: Sweet Almond Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, and Jojoba Seed Oil. All three of these ingredients help moisturize the skin and promote skin elasticity. I have found this product to not only look good on my face, but also help with evening out, and softening my skin.
How to use Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation:
Cleansing and moisturizing your face is a crucial step to never avoid when using any foundation, including this one of course! I generally cleanse my face, follow through with a gentle toner, then serum (sometimes), eye cream, a good moisturizer, and finally sunblock with a minimum of SPF 30. In order for this product to glide on your face (which it really does), it is extremely important to moisturize your face, with a cream or oil, depending on your preference and/or skin type. I use a cream (Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Cream), which I have been using for some time now, and love! To apply the foundation you can use your fingers or a foundation brush. I prefer using a clean brush personally, as opposed to my fingers. I use the Real Techniques Foundation Brush, which works very well for me. The foundation finish is in medium to full coverage, depending on how much and how you apply it, and it literally looks like a flawless layer of new skin! It does not cake on, and looks natural. I am in the color Illusion, which works for medium to medium dark skin tones, with a golden or olive undertone.
How to purchase:
You can buy this item online at www.kjaerweis.com, or do what I did and purchase it from www.citrinenaturalskin.com. What I found helpful about purchasing it from Citrine Natural Skin is that if you give them a call for samples, they are more than happy to send you 5 different samples of products for 15$. Also, if you follow them on Instagram you can DM them a picture of your bare skin, and an employee will color match you virtually. This is what I did, along with ordering the samples, just to be 100% sure. I originally thought the color Illusion would be too dark for me, but it surprisingly was not, and fit me perfectly. When you purchase the item for the first time, you are paying for the foundation, and its case, which is why the price is steep. However, the next time you re-purchase the item, you no longer will have to pay for the casing, and can simply order a refill which is much cheaper. The entire foundation is 68$, the refill is 40$. In the end, I find the price tag worth the non-toxic, luxuriously flawless finish. <3
