Who here loves flowers? I do..I do…! Whether I receive them as a gift, or go out and buy them myself, I tend to keep fresh flowers in our home at all times. Aside from the touch of beauty they add to our apartment, flowers have an overall positive effect on our mood. In fact, a study conducted at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital, confirmed that those who are not “morning people” and feel least happy early in the day, reported feeling more energetic and happy after looking at flowers first thing in the morning. The study also demonstrated that, “Flowers impact people emotionally in the home, causing them to feel less anxious and more compassionate.”
Lets be real…We don’t need a study to prove that flowers make us happy…some consider this common sense. I mean what’s better than feeling happy? Transferring this happiness to those around you, of course! (Don’t be greedy) When we are in a good mood or in a bad mood a phenomenon called emotional contagion may occur. This means that our emotions are “contagious” and that others around us can be influenced by our thoughts and feelings. So keep buying those flowers fellas (and ladies of course) 😉
-Wishing you all a beautiful week! <3
