A Healthy Sense of Self

A healthy sense of self can make a profound difference in how we function and feel. It is so easy to fall into a rut of self-criticism and feelings of incompetency, but it is important to remember that everything that happens to us only shapes the person we are and will one day become. When you feel at a loss of control over a situation, do your best to regain the control by first identifying the emotional turmoil. Once identified, set achievable and measurable goals that may help you track your progress and feel empowered in order to regain sense of control in your life. It is also wise to wake up every morning and look yourself in the mirror, and name at least 2 positive things about yourself.
