About Me

I moved to America at the age of 8. This transition was extremely difficult for me as I both found and lost aspects of who I was. Navigating my outer and inner world came with its complexities and the process of assimilation was emotionally taxing. Throughout my encounters and hardships, I formed a passion for connecting with people. As an adolescent, I knew that on some level I was destined to work with and help others understand themselves, sit with their feelings, navigate their experiences, and grow in their own unique way. I was so drawn to this because I too was learning to navigate and explore my own story and feelings.

I received a Bacehlor's degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. Thereafter, I pursued a Master of Science in Marriage Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in San Diego. Since then, I have spent the past 7 years working with a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families. The majority of the people I have worked with have faced challenges with a loss of self/identity concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, and complex trauma.
